Stables

We have 35 Monarch stables which are mostly 12' x 12' housed across 3 barns. Some of our stables have the added benefit of a back/side window with a door, this allows the horse to look out onto the yard. By using the Monarch partition's and windows this provides good ventilation and makes each barn very light and airy, providing a calm relaxed atmosphere for the horse. Each stable comes with its own automatic drinker and each barn has access to a feed and tack room.

Designed for washing down of the horse but it is also used for clipping horses and shoeing.

Turnout

We have year round turnout on well managed paddocks, paddocks are divided by a combination of well maintained electric fencing and post & rail, providing a secure grazing area. Mares and geldings are separate and most fields contain automatic water troughs.

Ménage, Lunging Arena and Summer Jumping Arena

Our all weather ménage measures 60m x 30m with a good quality surface of sand and rubber topping, that gives a firm and springy surface, this is ideal for schooling, dressage or jumping. The ménage has a set of show jumps and outside a purpose built mounting block.

Bedding and Haylage

Included with the livery is 1 bale of quality shavings.

Each year we make our own quality haylage, which all the horses at Darlingtons Livery enjoy and all owners comment on the quality. Haylage is included within the livery and there are no restrictions on usage, so no weighing.

Kitchen and W/C

We have a kitchen area which has hot and cold water and facilities for making a drink, ideal for those winter days.

We also have well maintained W/C facilities.

Farm Ride and Hacking

There is 4 miles of enjoyable riding on our farm ride which is set in 150 acres, with fantastic views. It provides safe riding for all with no need to go out onto the roads.

At Darlingtons Livery we have access to some excellent hacking around Mow Cop, Harrishead and for those who like to venture that bit further then you can access Smallwood, and Biddulph old train lines.
